The tent story
Since the summer of 2020, the Niklaus family has been offering a tipi for overnight stays on their farm. They have offered pitches to campers before, but wanted to add a tipis or two to their overnight program. The farmer's family has a dairy cow business and is therefore hardly ever away from the farm during the year. Holidays are a foreign word for the hard-working family. So they thought about simply taking the holidays to themselves and taking in guests over the summer on the farm. This creates exciting acquaintances and long-lasting friendships.
We built the first tipi in the summer of 2020 and the second followed a year later. The overnight stays went well and so they were able to add another tipi. They also went the official route and submitted a planning application for the tipis to the municipality on the grounds of agritourism. This was approved and so the tipis are available to guests for half a year.
